Voller and Roper families to attend NT Royal Commission hearings next week

Media Release 29 November 2016

Voller and Roper families to attend NT Royal Commission hearings next week.

Next week Dylan Voller and Jake Roper are giving evidence during the children’s section of hearings for the NT royal commission. The Voller and Roper families will be in Darwin supporting them. Dylan Voller is still incarcerated and there are fears his safety may be compromised in giving evidence.
“He is a pawn on a chessboard, because he is still in jail so how can he freely give evidence?”
said Joanne Voller, Dylan’s mother
“Every time he goes to open his mouth he’ll be thinking should I, or shouldn’t I be saying this.”

Dylan Voller has suffered gross abuse while incarcerated. His family has grave fears for his safety, and demand he will be released on parole. He has been refused parole with no reason given by the board. His next parole date is in Febuary.

The hearings commence on 5th Dec to the 14th Dec
